SortlyAI ("we", "our", operated by Sortly Technologies) helps you sort waste correctly and never miss collection day. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your choices.
Data we collect
- Account data: email address and authentication identifiers when you sign up or sign in (email, Apple, or Google).
- Location & schedule data: country, city, bin configuration, and collection schedules you set during onboarding.
- Scan data: images you submit for AI classification and the resulting sorting recommendations. Images may be processed by our AI provider to identify items.
- Usage data: streaks, scan counts, notification preferences, and app settings.
- Device data: basic technical data needed for notifications, sync, and app reliability.
How we use data
- Provide waste sorting recommendations, collection reminders, and calendar features.
- Sync your bins, schedules, and household across devices.
- Process subscription status through RevenueCat and app stores.
- Improve app reliability and customer support.
Third-party services
- Supabase: authentication and cloud data storage.
- OpenAI: AI image classification for scan feature.
- RevenueCat: subscription management.
- Google AdMob: advertising in the free tier (Premium removes ads).
Data retention & deletion
You can request deletion of your account and personal data by emailing support@sortlyai.app from your registered email address.
Children
SortlyAI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
